The way in which I make art is to make sure I get in the studio everyday, so when an idea arises I'm already at work.

Thats how this piece came to be, through painting, drawing, covering the whole thing up and starting again. 

Most of the time the desired result is far out of reach, till I make a mistake or I let loose completely and just like that I blink and I've made a piece I don't want to change.

The Place To Be became a work that reminds me of my childhood home. The great memories of walking down to my friends house and making dirt smoothies in the backyard, throwing a frisbee and not quite being a fan of the city.

Of course the so called Place To Be is different for us all, but that is why I love this thought provoking work.
